It had to happen eventually.  My kids have discovered the world of television outside of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon.  Luckily, if they think a new show they want to watch is questionable, they will ask me about it before they watch it. This week they asked me about Doctor Who.  They don't know that I've been watching it for years; they think they discovered something new.

My question to you is, what do you think about the show for kids?  Do any of you watch it with your kids? Also, would you listen to a podcast episode about Doctor Who if I did it with my kids?  Give me some feedback, guys and dolls; I'm trying to come up with fresh ideas for 2007.

I think it really depends on your kids ages and maturity. There are some dark and somewhat violent times and then you have the "scary" times. As you well know.

If they enjoy it, I would say let them watch it.

I think Doctor Who would be fine for the kids. Although it sometimes gets spooky, it's 100 times tamer than some of the other fright shows (Like Supernatural, which I love). The other plus is theytend to avoid delving into adult subject matter (which they apparently left to Torchwood).
So if I had kids, they'd watch the Doctor.

Hi, I wanted to introduce myself. As I have mentioned my name above Karen Hammond sent me this link to check out the Bunk cast website. I work with Karen and Jamie Chambers, yet in a different dept. She told me about the Pod casting and what you guys have been doing. Sounds fun. Have not tried Podcasting, yet would like to. I have my website above, yet not complete. May need to do more changes to it as I think of changes. Thanks

You might want to check out http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/episodes/fearforecast.shtml

At the page for the episode they list the "fright factor" and the reactions of four test children (from 5 to 13) to the episodes, sometimes minute by minute.
